The Contractor entered into two Contracts with the Government of the Hong Kong SAR (Highway Department) in relation to the Hong Kong Boundary Facilities (HKBCF) for the construction of facilities for passengers and vehicles entering or leaving Hong Kong via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB). This included the construction of the Passenger Clearance Building (PCB) and the Remaining Ancillary Buildings and Facilities (RABF) for the Contract. ADR provided the Contractor with commercial advice, support and expert services for a final account mediation.
The construction of a nine storey cultural centre block with an auditorium of 1,200 seats, a theatre of 550 seats, three music/dance/drama studios ranging from 120 to 250 seats, a large and two small rehearsal rooms, a restaurant and ancillary facilities including toilets, changing rooms, baby care rooms, office, stores rooms, loading/unloading area and car parking spaces. ADR Provided commercial management resources to prepare a consolidated claim overview document and provided contractual and commercial advice.
The Liantang Boundary Control Point includes the construction of a passenger terminal building and public transportation interchange with all associated internal and external systems and facilities for a new border crossing at the Hong Kong / Shenzhen administrative boundary. ADR provided senior management resources to assist with the preparation of the claims for delay and disruption for the main contractor and liaised with the employer’s consultants and the dispute resolution advisor.
The Ocean Park project works comprised the construction of Entry Plaza, Aqua City, and Grand Aquarium (including unique E&M systems). ADR carried out a commercial review for the main contractor including making recommendations, and improvements needed to safeguard and maximize the Contractor’s commercial position. ADR also prepared claims for delay and disruption and advised on various commercial and contractual issues throughout the duration of the Works.
The Children’s Hospital Project in Australia is a replacement for an existing hospital. The new hospital is the state’s sole dedicated children’s hospital, with around 300 beds and providing care to children from all over the state. ADR provided measurement services and particulars requesting formal variation orders.
The works comprised civil and structural works in relation to the construction of a Cement Plant in Azerbaijan. ADR prepared claims for delay and disruption to the civil and structural works.
The project consisted of the re-provisioning of Kennedy Town swimming pool to make way for the new MTRC West Island Line. ADR prepared claims for the main contractor to support its entitlement to extensions of time, and submissions to substantiate and value the subsequently employed delay recovery measures. These submissions included a number of explanatory overview presentations made to the employer's senior management.
The project consisted of the fast track construction of a double bay aircraft maintenance hangar with a steel roof structure supported by eight mega columns. ADR prepared claims for the main contractor with respect to delays and disruption to the design, fabrication and erection of the steel roof structure.
One Island East consisted of the construction of a 'grade A', high rise retail / office development procured on a lump sum guaranteed maximum price (GMP). ADR advised on measurement issues connected with the GMP and prepared a report on the delays and disruption to the E&M installations.
The 2008 Olympic Equestrian was held in a specially built HK$0.25 billion venue in Hong Kong. ADR provided commercial and contractual advice together with contract administration support to the main contractor responsible for the structures and associated E&M services.
