Expert Witness
ADR have provided expert evidence in a number of High Court Action, arbitration and mediation proceedings concerning matters related to quantum, delay and disruption.
Stonecutters Bridge
Stonecutters Bridge is a 1,596 metre long dual 3-lane high level cable stayed bridge, with a clear span of 1,018 metres. When completed it will be one of the longest span cable-stayed bridges in the World. ADR provided commercial and contractual advice to the main contractor with respect to the construction of the bored pile tower foundations, concrete backspans and fabrication and erection of the steel deck.
The Hong Kong Olympic Equestrian Venue
The Hong Kong Olympic Equestrian Venue: ADR provided commercial and contractual advice together with contract administration support to the main contractor responsible for providing the HK$0.25 billion temporary structures and associated E&M services.
Kowloon Southern Link
Kowloon Southern Link involves construction of the new West Kowloon Station together with twin TBM bored tunnels linking Hong Kong's East Rail and West Rail. The tunneling involved a slurry TBM for construction of twin stacked tunnels in mixed ground beneath one of the most densely populated areas of the world. A full range of ground conditions was encountered. ADR provided senior management to lead the claims team in the preparation of claims for delay, disruption and management of change.
Penny's Bay Reclamation Stage 2
Penny's Bay Reclamation Stage 2: ADR prepared delay and disruption claims for the main contractor on various matters including the grading and placing of materials in the seawall and reclamation and material procurement difficulties from the Mainland for the sand and rock-fill.
Eagle's Nest Tunnel
Eagle’s Nest Tunnel comprised the construction of two drill and blast, 3-lane road tunnels, each approximately 2.1 km in length. The works also included a 400 metre adit tunnel, at-grade approach works, north and south portal buildings, ventilation building, administration building and toll plaza. ADR prepared claims for delay and disruption for the main contractor with respect to the civils, building and E&M installations and also advised on measurement disputes.
Jordan Valley Site Formation
The Jordan Valley Site Formation project involved the excavation, disposal and processing of about 9 million cubic metres of material to form platforms, and the construction of related infrastructure works for future housing developments and associated public facilities. ADR prepared claims for delay, disruption and additional works, and also provided commercial, contractual and measurement advice for the main contractor.
