Liantang Boundary Control Point

The Liantang Boundary Control Point includes the construction of a passenger terminal building and public transportation interchange with all associated internal and external systems and facilities for a new border crossing at the Hong Kong / Shenzhen administrative boundary. As part of the overall claims provision, ADR prepared extension of time claims for delays associated with piling works and performed disruption and re-rating claims for piling, earthworks and drainage related activities.

Nam Cheong Property Foundation Removal and Re-provisioning

Nam Cheong Property Foundation Removal and Re-provisioning involved the removal of existing bored concrete piles and steel H-piles lying within MTRC’s Express Rail Link Tunnel Zone. A specialist Japanese pile sub-contractor was appointed to remove the piles to make way for the tunnel boring machine and subsequent tunnel construction. ADR prepared claims for variations, delay and disruption with respect to unforeseen ground conditions and deformed piles and also advised on commercial and contractual issues.

Penny's Bay Reclamation Stage 2

Penny's Bay Reclamation Stage 2 comprised the reclamation of sixty hectares of land, construction of 1,470 meters of permanent sloping seawalls and stromwater drainage systems. ADR prepared delay and disruption claims for the main contractor on various matters including the grading and placing of materials in the seawall and reclamation together with material procurement difficulties for the sand and rock-fill.

The Jordan Valley Site Formation project involved the excavation, disposal and processing of about 9 million cubic metres of material to form platforms for future housing developments and associated public facilities. ADR prepared claims for the main contractor with respect to delay, disruption and additional works together with contractual and measurement advice.

MTRC Access Shafts

MTRC Access Shafts

The project comprised the construction of access shafts for the MTRC West Island Line including the installation of a pipe pile cofferdam wall, earthwork lateral support (ELS) and bulk excavation. ADR prepared claims for the main contractor with respect to delays and disruption to the pipe pile cofferdam wall and bulk excavation.
